ABOUT CHRISTINA

A lawyer and psychotherapist who understands the human being behind the professional role.

Christina Loftus, JD, LICSW, LCSW, ACC, brings together more than a decade of legal practice, advanced clinical training, and extensive experience supporting members of the legal profession.

She understands legal culture from the inside—including its intellectual rewards, relentless demands, high-stakes responsibility, and tendency to reward functioning while leaving little room for the person doing the work.

Christina founded Healing Bridge Psychotherapy to provide lawyers, judges, law students, legal professionals, and their families with a confidential place to be understood as whole people—not simply as professionals expected to keep performing.

A MULTIDISCIPLINARY PATH

Christina’s clinical perspective was shaped long before she entered the therapy profession. During more than a decade practicing law, she experienced firsthand how legal work can engage a person’s greatest capacities while also placing sustained demands on attention, emotion, relationships, identity, and health.

After becoming a clinical social worker, Christina served as a clinical professional with the Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program. There, she supported dozens of lawyers, judges, law students, and people concerned about someone in the legal profession. That experience deepened her understanding of the challenges legal professionals may carry privately even while continuing to function at a high level publicly.

Christina is:

• A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota
• A Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas
• An EMDR-trained therapist
• An International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach
• A former practicing lawyer
• A former Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program clinical professional
• A Human Operating Systems Architecture–trained practitioner and HOSA Institute Fellow Faculty

WHAT IT MAY FEEL LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER

Christina brings warmth, curiosity, candor, and structure to therapy. She listens closely for both what is being said and what may be difficult to name, while respecting each client’s pace, autonomy, and lived experience.

Her approach does not treat the client as a problem to be fixed. Therapy may involve understanding patterns, making room for experiences that have been pushed aside, developing practical capacities, and exploring how personal history, professional culture, relationships, identity, and the nervous system interact.

Christina values depth without unnecessary abstraction and practical tools without reducing complex human experiences to a checklist. Clients are invited to bring their intelligence, questions, skepticism, humor, and full humanity into the room.

TWO DISTINCT PROFESSIONAL ROLES

Christina provides psychotherapy through Healing Bridge Psychotherapy, LLC and coaching, speaking, and organizational programming through her separate business, HumanEsq™.

Although both bodies of work reflect Christina’s multidisciplinary background, they are distinct professional services. Psychotherapy is a regulated clinical relationship that may include assessment and treatment of mental health concerns and is available through Healing Bridge only to clients located in Minnesota and Texas. Coaching through HumanEsq™ is nonclinical and does not involve mental health diagnosis or treatment.

If you are seeking lawyer coaching, professional development, speaking, or programming for a legal organization, visit HumanEsq™.

A PLACE TO BEGIN

You do not need to know exactly what therapy should look like before reaching out. A consultation offers an opportunity to briefly discuss what brings you here, ask questions, and consider whether working together may be a good fit.
